Admissions Process
Sulam@JDS is built on a highly collaborative partnership between Sulam and the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School (CESJDS). That partnership begins with admissions.
Families interested in Sulam@JDS first apply directly to CESJDS through the school’s regular admissions process. When the CESJDS Admissions Team identifies a student who may benefit from the specialized support Sulam@JDS provides, the student is referred to the Sulam@JDS team.
From there, CESJDS and Sulam work closely to review the student’s learning profile, strengths, and areas of need, and determine whether CESJDS and Sulam@JDS can provide an appropriate, successful educational experience.
Our shared goal is to understand the whole child and determine whether we can, together, create the support they need to learn, grow, and belong within the CESJDS community.
Because Sulam@JDS operates through a cohort model, enrollment also depends on having a minimum of three students per grade to form a cohort.
