DR. DEBRA DRANG, DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION, DESIGNATED AS PART OF PRIZMAH’S PRESTIGIOUS, NATIONAL RISING LEADERS COHORT 2023–2024

Sulam is proud to announce that Dr. Debra Drang, Director of Special Education, has been designated as a Rising Leader, 2023–24 national cohort of Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools. The Rising Leaders Cohort brings together a group of exceptional women in a ten-month program designed to support, engage, and deepen professional growth for Orthodox women in Jewish day schools and yeshivas across North America. Now in its second year, the program offers a meaningful experience for school professionals who aspire to build leadership capacity in their current roles, and for roles they will hold in the future. This groundbreaking initiative is specifically designed to foster the growth and professional potential of remarkable Orthodox women in the field of Jewish education.

Cohort members address professional challenges, share resources, and build their network for future leadership opportunities. Over the course of the program, each cohort member is guided by esteemed mentors and industry experts. Through intensive training, personalized mentorship, and a range of professional development opportunities, {participant name} will hone her leadership skills and expand her knowledge base. “The growth and development open to each participant is truly remarkable,” said Debra Shaffer Seeman, Prizmah’s Network Weaver who oversees the Orthodox Women in Leadership Rising Leaders cohort. “These women possess immense potential, and it is a privilege to witness their progress as they embrace their roles as leaders in the field of Jewish education.

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO CONNECTING WITH OTHER WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AT JEWISH DAY SCHOOLS, AND LEARNING FROM THE RANGE OF DIVERSE EXPERIENCES THEY BRING TO THE TABLE.

I am excited to represent Sulam in this cohort, to amplify the critical importance of special education within the field of Jewish education.

— Dr. Debra Drang, Director of Special Education
