Abby Schick Joins Sulam as Director of Development

Abby’s professional background includes diverse work experience across a variety of educational settings and not-for-profit organizations.

Most recently, in her role as Community Engagement Associate at Beauvoir, The National Cathedral Elementary School, she worked in the Office of Institutional Advancement. In that capacity, she cultivated and executed a variety of programs including donor recognition events, grandparent initiatives, parent volunteer opportunities, alumni engagement activities, and the annual scholarship auction.

Prior to moving to the D.C. area, Abby was Associate Director for the Office of MBA Student Life at Columbia Business School where she worked closely with faculty, administrators, and students to coordinate projects and events and to increase student engagement.

Abby spent her early post-college years working with The Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Lighthouse International, a not-for-profit dedicated to vision impairment and vision rehabilitation. During that time, she managed after school programs for children aged 6-18, developed public and private partnerships to provide employment opportunities for visually impaired and blind adults, and coordinated rehabilitation and vocational programs for visually impaired teenagers.
